Route: Hungary → Poland
Cargo: chemical raw material for polyurethane production (ADR), 24 tonnes
Mode of transport: curtain-sided semi-trailer equipped and marked in accordance with ADR requirements
Cargo specifics: toxic hazardous substance that reacts with moisture.
KRAFTTRANS arranged regular transport of dangerous goods — a chemical raw material used in polyurethane production. Due to the nature of the cargo, enhanced safety measures had to be strictly observed at every stage of the delivery.
The cargo was transported in bags placed on 22 pallets. The bags had to be protected from compression and damage. Protective corner guards were therefore used to prevent the securing straps from damaging the bags, while appropriate lashing straps ensured that the pallets remained securely in place. Even during sudden braking, the 24 tonnes of cargo had to remain stable and prevented from shifting.
The substance is toxic and hazardous if inhaled. If the packaging is damaged or loses its integrity, the released substance may pose a serious health risk. The driver therefore used appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with ADR requirements and safety procedures. During loading, the driver personally checked the positioning of the pallets, the tension of the securing straps, and the condition of the packaging.
Throughout the journey, the cargo was fully protected from precipitation and moisture entering the trailer.
A suitable vehicle with the required ADR markings and equipment was selected for the shipment. The transport was entrusted to an experienced driver holding a valid ADR driver training certificate, and a full set of required transport documents and instructions was prepared.
The cargo was delivered to Poland without incident or delay. The transport was carried out in accordance with ADR requirements, and the packaging arrived at its destination undamaged.
