The Minsk Zoo, Minsk, Belarus, asked us to transport two zebras over a large distance. First, we developed the transportation route. Then, the Zoo was instructed to have the cages designed in accordance with the requirements concerning the air transportation of this kind of animals. Cage height was not supposed to exceed 160 cm so they could fit into the aircraft. However, the height of each of the two cages the zoo provided in the end was 164 cm. Our employees arrived and offered a way to reduce cage height. The issue was resolved without inconveniencing the animals in any manner.
Now that the cages were ready, the animals were trained to get into and out of the cages.
Veterinary certificates for both of the animals were issued. All the documents had been confirmed in advance by the responsible services of Vnukovo Andrei Tupolev International Airport, Moscow, Russia.
Delivery by road took about 10 hours. The journey over, our Partners placed the zebras at the cargo terminal of Vnukovo Andrei Tupolev International Airport, Moscow, Russia. A veterinary check took place, after which the two animals were sent to Vladivostok, Russia. They arrived at the destination point after 9 hours of flight.
Finally, the receiving side promptly delivered the animals to a zoo in Vladivostok, Russia.
