The employees of the aviation department of KRAFTTRANS organized the delivery of the genetic material of the swine ASF virus from Belarus to the laboratory in Spain, which specializes in studying, conducting samples and detecting / confirming the presence of viruses for further vaccine development.
According to the airline’s requirements for acceptance of cargo for transportation, as well as in accordance with the current international rules for the carriage of dangerous goods by air, this type of dangerous cargo requires certified packaging. Such packaging is produced only by an authorized manufacturer with the necessary approval, and undergoes special processing, testing and confirmation of compliance with the established standards from independent experts.
Such packaging is not produced in the Republic of Belarus. Employees of the aviation department of the KRAFTTRANS company found an agent who was able to provide the necessary container.
The package arrived at the National Airport Minsk by air, and the customs representative of KRAFTTRANS as soon as possible carried out customs clearance of the cargo, the package was handed over to the veterinary institution.
The next day, the cargo in certified packaging was delivered to the Minsk National Airport, an export declaration was issued, the cargo was signed for the flight and departed by Czech Airlines. At the Prague airport, the cargo was also stored in a special warehouse with the maintenance of the temperature regime from +2 to + 8 °.
Arriving at the airport — the city of Madrid, the next day, the cargo in express mode passed customs clearance and was handed over to the consignee at 13:20 local time in proper condition.
Correct organization of dangerous goods transportation, correct handling of an infectious substance minimizes the possibility of its negative impact and requires only a professional approach.
