Due to the overall and weight characteristics of the cargo, it was impossible to load industrial equipment on regular flights: no airline would be able to take such cargo.
However, KRAFTTRANS specialists have found a beautiful solution: they chose not the busiest, but at the same time, convenient airport for the client, carrying out cargo flights, and organized charter air transportation.
The oversized cargo was delivered from the manufacturer to the airport of departure by road on special trailer platforms. To carry out the loading onto the aircraft, a 20-ton mobile crane was ordered, an external mobile equipment, without which the loading could not have been carried out. The scheme of loading into the cargo compartment of the aircraft was preliminarily agreed and approved with the technical specialists.
After loading the equipment on board, a charter flight was carried out to the destination airport in the Russian Federation.
In the course of cargo transportation, KRAFTTRANS specialists not only organized air delivery to the airport, but also provided related transport services: transit customs clearance of cargo, payment of terminal fees at the airport of arrival and delivery of oversized cargo by special vehicles to the destination in the Volga Federal District.
When the second batch of equipment was delivered by KRAFTTRANS specialists, another type of aircraft was chartered and the charter air transportation was carried out directly to the airport of the city where the customer’s enterprise is located. The implementation of a direct flight has significantly reduced the total transit time by more than 10 days.
