Not all carriers, whether Chinese or European, have an opportunity to transport hazardous cargo class 6.1 (toxic substances). Our Company managed to organize such transportation.
Details.Hazardous cargo can be transported only through Alashankou — Dostyk (China-Kazakhstan). Moreover, it is necessary to obtain a permit to transit it through the Republic of Kazakhstan 1 month beforehand. For this you will need to claim vehicle registration, which is often impossible in such cases. Our Company has reliable Chinese contractors, who organized the transit of such cargo in the territory of Kazakhstan.
Challenge: shipper plant of this cargo has no permit for transit of the above-mentioned hazardous cargo class 6.1 by road. They only had permits for transportation by sea, which is impossible in our case. Our partner contacted the shipper plant and consulted it on the issue of obtaining such permit. After that, the cargo was placed in 2 standard tautliners that had all documents for transit of such cargo around Kazakhstan.
Both vehicles easily delivered the cargo to the customs warehouse in Alashankou for cargo transfer to the bonded warehouse and all customs and anti-COVID-19 measures, for sure.
Once such procedures were over, we provided the vehicles of our company for further delivery of the cleared cargo to the destination customs.
The transit time considering all formalities and queues at border crossings: 20 days.
