Route: Poland → Turkey
Cargo: Detergent tablets
Mode of transport: Curtain-sided trailers; refrigerated trailers during the summer season
Cargo specifics: Seasonal temperature sensitivity and strict requirements for consistent delivery schedules
The customer, working with KRAFTTRANS under a long-term contract, switched entirely to refrigerated trailers for the summer season. In high temperatures, detergent tablets can stick together, so maintaining a stable temperature during transit was essential to preserving product quality.
At the same time, the customer significantly increased shipment volumes, with transport volumes effectively doubling.
KRAFTTRANS was tasked with maintaining uninterrupted deliveries under these new conditions: accommodating the increased volumes, maintaining the required temperature range and adhering to the agreed delivery schedule.
To meet these requirements, KRAFTTRANS quickly expanded its available refrigerated transport capacity by engaging carriers from both the EU and Turkey. Access to both European and Turkish carrier networks became one of the key advantages of the project, allowing loads to be allocated flexibly, additional capacity to be secured at short notice and deliveries to remain reliable even during periods of peak demand for refrigerated trailers.
A further advantage is KRAFTTRANS’s local presence in both the EU and Turkey. Our local teams work directly with carriers in their own language, understand the specifics of their respective markets and can quickly arrange the required transport capacity. For the customer, this means a consistent level of service across the entire route, while benefiting from access to both European and Turkish carriers.
KRAFTTRANS successfully handled the peak volumes and maintained uninterrupted deliveries without delays or any loss of product quality. In autumn, when temperature-controlled transport was no longer required, the customer switched back to curtain-sided trailers. The transition was completed smoothly, without disrupting the delivery schedule.
For the customer, this approach eliminates the need to work with different transport providers depending on the season or trailer type. KRAFTTRANS adapts the transport solution to current conditions — from refrigerated transport in summer to curtain-sided trailers during the cooler months. Flexibility in selecting the right transport solution, access to carrier capacity in both the EU and Turkey, and local presence in both markets enable KRAFTTRANS to respond quickly to changing requirements and maintain reliable transport operations throughout the year.
