Route: Germany → Kazakhstan
Mode of transport: Road (Curtain-sided trailer with trailer swap)
Cargo description: Medical X-ray film (20 tons)
Special requirement: No X-ray scanning at border crossings
KRAFTTRANS successfully delivered 20 tons of medical X-ray film from Germany to Kazakhstan. The shipment was transported using a curtain-sided trailer with a trailer swap solution. Depending on operational conditions, cargo transshipment in Brest can also be arranged when it represents the most efficient delivery option.
Medical X-ray film is a highly sensitive cargo. The main challenge is preventing exposure to X-ray scanners during customs inspections, as even a single scan can damage the film and make it unusable. To eliminate this risk, KRAFTTRANS specialists carefully planned the route and coordinated customs clearance procedures in advance.
We selected the optimal transportation scheme – either trailer swap or cargo transshipment – to ensure the cargo remained fully protected throughout the journey. Every stage of the shipment was closely monitored, with particular attention paid to border crossings. The cargo successfully cleared customs without being exposed to X-ray scanning. As a result, all 20 tons of medical X-ray film were delivered to Kazakhstan safely, on schedule, and at a competitive cost. KRAFTTRANS handles this type of shipment on a regular basis, completing approximately one transportation project per quarter.
